Friday 21st April 2017 saw our Annual Season Launch Party in the Waterwheel Bar. Friends of The Mill enjoyed a champagne and canapé reception and spoke to stars such as Brian Blessed, Ray Cooney, Simon Williams and more.
We were also joined by the casts of Improbable Fiction and Don’t Dress For Dinner, who kindly popped over with director Ron Aldridge on a break from their rehearsals.
Speeches were made by Managing Director Sally Hughes – who announced our forthcoming season – and President of our Friends club, Simon Williams.

On Friday 9th September, we were delighted to officially launch our ‘Friends Of The Mill’ members club with a sparkling launch party. Hosted in the beautiful Waterwheel Bar and outside on our stunning riverside terrace, ‘Friends of The Mill’ enjoyed canapes and a champagne reception, as they mingled with guests including cast members from Blithe Spirit and the lovely Debbie McGee.
Managing Director Sally Hughes was excited to announce our upcoming season of plays for 2017, including the nail-biting thriller Peter James’ DEAD SIMPLE, Alan Ayckboum’s IMPROBABLE FICTION and DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER, the hilarious follow-up to Marc Camoletti’s BOEING BOEING. To round off the event, a wonderful speech was made by the President of our Friends club,. Simon Williams.
